Early on, John Cooper Works was an upgrade package that could be added to certain MINI Cooper models. Over the years, this evolved into full-on John Cooper Works models with uprated spark plugs, flowed and ported cylinder heads, faster-spinning superchargers, and other track-focused design tweaks at every turn.

Co-founder of the legendary car company that bears his name, John Cooper was an auto racing icon. His rear-engine chassis design revolutionized the sport of racing, from the Formula One track to the Indy 500. His new Cooper car took the racing world by storm, and surprised everyone. Nobody thought such racing prowess could come in such a small and unassuming package. John Cooper continued to develop and refine his automotive design, and remained a fixture in the industry for his entire life. His name still stands as a mark of excellence and ambition.

The Current JCW Lineup
Today, there are three John Cooper Works MINI models available: the Hardtop 2 Door, the Paceman All4, and the Countryman All4. The Hardtop 2 Door is the newest addition to the JCW family and the most powerful MINI ever made. All models in the John Cooper Works fleet feature oversized Brembo brakes, a sport-tuned suspension with firmer stabilizers in the front and rear, a full body aero kit, specialized alloy wheels, unique colors and one-of-a-kind visual effects. Special dyno tuning pushes the turbocharged engine to 208 horsepower.
