You can upgrade to a 2.0 turbo-4 outputting 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, or a more powerful version with 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. Countryman is also available as a hybrid putting out 221 horsepower and 284 lb-ft. The AWD Fiat has but one engine, a 1.4-liter turbo-4 with 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, matched to a 6-speed automatic. The 500L does not offer a hybrid version.
Manual Transmission
Driving enthusiasts have always favored the involvement and control offered by a manual transmission. Both the MINI and the Fiat offer automatics, but only the MINI comes with a manual as standard equipment on the Cooper Countryman and Cooper Countryman ALL4.
