Many components of your vehicle perform a specific function that keeps your vehicle moving. The differential is one of those components. The role of the differential is to enable your vehicle to make turns. It would be impossible to go anywhere in Ramsey without a properly functioning differential.
The differential is a part of the front and rear axle assembly that allows a pair of wheels to rotate at different speeds. For example, when you are turning, the differential allows the inside wheel to have a slower RPM than when you are driving straight. The outside wheel will have a faster RPM than when you are driving straight.
There are three types of differentials:
• Open – This is the most common type.
• Limited-Slip – This is like the Open, but it uses a clutch.
• Torque-Vectoring – This uses the latest technology.
